Zurich German, Bernese German and German (CH).
Three language varieties from one booth, plus English with an audibly Swiss charm. All the recordings come from real productions.
Zurich German
I spent most of my youth in the city of Zurich and the surrounding area, and I still live here today. In this dialect I am fluent and quick. My Zurich German ranges from the hard city dialect to a softer Winterthur variant, or one bordering on the Aargau dialect.
In the rest of Switzerland, Zurich German is heard as self-assured and urban; it suits progressive communication and a younger audience.
Bernese German
I did not grow up in Bern, but I did grow up with Bernese German: my mother's Emmental dialect and my wife's Interlaken dialect gave me several of its facets from the start. My own variant I call a 'softened Bernese German', not clearly tied to one region, from Bern to the border with Solothurn.
It is exactly this linguistic middle ground, wryly called 'Bahnhof Buffet Olten', that national campaigns ask for most.
High German for the Swiss market
Since 2011 I have worked intensively on High German and stage German. Through many coaching sessions and workshops I have refined my German until it matches the form used in Swiss advertising windows: from a German that counts as pure by Swiss standards to the German the average Swiss person speaks.
Just tell me in the brief how much Switzerland may come through.
English with a Swiss accent
I offer English as a non-native speaker: my Swiss origin is not obvious, but it is audible. On request also as deliberately bad Swiss English, with a wink.
Not sure which variety fits?
