Privacy policy

In short: I collect only what a voice over production requires, and I pass nothing on.

This is a translation for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version at www.andyzimmermann.ch/datenschutzerklaerung is the legally binding text.

A personal word on data protection

Data protection matters to me personally. I can assure you that I do not pass personal data on to third parties, unless they take on part of a job (the translation of a script, for example). As a rule I collect only the data required to carry out a voice over production: the details from the contact form and the correspondence across the various channels.

Controller

Andreas ‘Andy’ Zimmermann
Swiss voice over artist Andy Zimmermann
Hatzenbühlstrasse 38
8309 Nürensdorf, Switzerland

UID: CHE-193.210.034
Contact: via the contact form (usually answered within 24 hours)

Which data is processed

  • Contact form: name, e-mail address, telephone number (optional), type of project and message. These details are sent to me by e-mail and used solely to deal with your enquiry and to handle the job. They are sent via the mail server of my Swiss e-mail host. To guard against spam, an invisible honeypot field, a time check and Cloudflare Turnstile are used; in doing so, Cloudflare processes technical connection data (IP address, for example).
  • Server logs: when you visit the website, the hosting provider (Hostinger) processes access data such as IP address, date, page requested and browser type for technical reasons. This data serves security and error analysis.
  • Job data: in the course of a production I process master data, contact data, content data and payment data in order to perform the contract and to invoice it. Statutory retention obligations (accounting: 10 years) are reserved.

Audience measurement with Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. I use it to analyse how the site is used, for instance which pages are opened and which audio samples are played. The sole aim is to improve what I offer.

Google Analytics sets cookies and in doing so processes usage data as well as your shortened IP address. A transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out; for this, Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in designing the website to suit its users (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) and Art. 31 revDSG (revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection) respectively.

You can prevent this collection at any time: with Google's opt-out add-on, through your browser's tracking protection settings, or by blocking cookies from this site. Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy.

Embedded third-party content

  • YouTube, Vimeo and SRF Play: videos are only loaded once you click ('click-to-load', youtube-nocookie.com or player.vimeo.com with 'do not track'). Only then is data transmitted to the respective provider.
  • SoundCloud: individual blog posts contain SoundCloud players; when they are played, data is transmitted to SoundCloud.
  • Fonts and audio samples are loaded locally from my own server, without any connection to Google Fonts or other third-party servers.

Your rights

You have the right to information about the data stored about you, to its correction or erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability and to withdraw any consent you have given. Simply contact me about this via the contact form. The governing law is the Swiss revDSG (revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection) and, for clients from the EU, the GDPR.

Erasure

I erase enquiry data as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose it was collected for and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.
