E-learning narration for an international platform
By Andy Zimmermann, voice over artist

For a year now I have been one of the Swiss voices of GoodHabitz.com, an international learning platform that stands out for the range of its courses and languages. It is the first time I have had the opportunity to narrate e-learning courses in my mother tongue, Swiss German. An international e-learning platform offering its content in Swiss German is probably unique, and it makes the offering even more appealing to Swiss users.
Since the project began I have narrated more than two hours of learning content, and I regularly find myself immersed in new and interesting subjects. The courses cover a wide field: from leadership and career through psychology and health to practical topics such as everyday communication or productivity. The focus is not only on conveying the information correctly, but also on presenting it in an inviting and humorous way.
One of the highlights of this project is the production of e-learning content in Swiss German. Platforms of this kind are often offered in High German or English, but GoodHabitz.com recognises the importance of the local language. Swiss German, with its distinctive nuances and expressions, brings an agreeable closeness to the learning content and makes it easier for users to follow in a natural way.
The structure of the modules, from the introductory ‘Story Board’ sections through to the information-rich ‘Fast Forward’ parts, creates a balanced mixture of entertainment and knowledge. The ‘Story Board’ elements serve not only as a relaxed introduction, but as a bridge that links learning with a pleasant atmosphere. The ‘Fast Forward’ sections, by contrast, deliver the core knowledge concisely and efficiently.
I value the opportunity not only to pass on knowledge, but also to add a personal note through my voice and my reading of the content. It is not just a job, but a creative journey in which I enrich the world of learning content with my own style.
